Tea Caddy

Tea Caddys were introduced in the mid 18th century in India, tea was considered to be a valuable commodity and was often kept under lock and key, Tea Caddys were often accompanied by a Tea Poy which consists on a small table which could also hold cup and saucer, most people may not even know of the existance of such pieces, they are rare and a beautiful luxury collectors piece, circa 1850.
