Davenport Desk

Victorian Davenport desk sitting upon origional Porcelain casters, measuring 870mm in height x 570mm in width x 560mm in depth, constructed from Walnut and Rosewood Veneer with Cabriole leg supports, leather insert for writing area, with four full length writing drawers to the right, and false drawers to the left, circa 1880-90, the Davonport desk was origionally designed by Captain Josiah Davenport (1771–1836) for ease and convenience to be transported on and off of the old sailing ships.
